Besides having the most beautiful aroma, Lavender Essential Oil is beneficial in many ways. It is used widely to help relieve stress and anxiety. Five drops in an evening bath will help with relaxation and bring about calm, as well as assist with a peaceful sleep. Too many drops on the other had could be stimulating and although it will help relieve stress, it will stimulate the mind rather than relax it.
Lavender Essential Oil has wonderful therapeutic properties and help with muscle pain relief, with wound healing, and boosting the immune system. The oil is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory and excellent to apply neat onto cuts, scratches, scrapes and bites.
Bags of dried lavender flowers and leaves are an excellent insect deterrent and can be place in amongst clothes and shoes, towels and linen and anywhere you’d want to keep fish-moths and insects out of. They will also keep your cupboards smelling fresh and aromatic.
Lavender is relatively easy to grow and is wonderful to have in the garden. Lavender likes a sandy soil which is good for proper drainage. They love lots of sunshine and enough air flow between the plants.
